Holiday Pets!!!!

These holidays me and my family get to look after the school pets (chickens & guinea-pigs). The chickens are black and there names are Baldie and Nina. The guinea-pigs names are Maggy and Milly. Milly is white and Maggy is brown and black and they always squeak. They are all adorable. We got them on Friday the seventh and we give them back on the twenty-eighth of April. A good reason to have these pets is because chickens eat the bugs and guinea-pigs mow the lawn for you. I love these pets can't wait to see them again.

Meeting Charlotte Best

One week ago I met Charlotte Best at the shops. I had a picture with her but unfortunately it didn't work. She was very nice! She is also very pretty. I was very excited and so was Nathalie. We were with our friends and it was very fun. Charlotte Best is an actor of home and away.

Scout Camp

On the weekend I went camping with a bunch of Scouts. I went swimming, canoing, tubing, caught fish & saw baby ducklings. The bad news was that I got sunburned. My face was so red I was embarrassed. When I went swimming I went so far. The fish I caught where so tiny. The baby ducklings & the mother & father where so cute. The tube was red and very fast. When I went canoing I always went in the middle. We stayed at camp for two 2 days & I had lots of fun.

My Rabbit

Hi everyone!
On Friday afternoon I was talking to my mum when I saw a bunny rabbit. So me and my mum went outside and my mum walked up to it and said hello bunny rabbit and she picked it up. Then I went and got a cage to put the bunny rabbit in.

The bunny rabbit is a girl and I called it Pumpkin because it was eating our pumpkin that fell out of the tree.

The day after, the bunny rabbit escaped and I couldn't find it. A few days after that my sister found it and my mum caught it. So I went to go and get the cage for Pumpkin while my sister was patting it. But then my brother started patting it very roughly and it jumped out of my sister's hands. So my mum went down to the backyard and went close up to it. Then it started to hop so I went the other way and it just hopped back to my mum. But we couldn't catch it so we just left it and we were hoping that it would come back and calm down.
It hasn't come back yet.

I Like The Entrance A Lot!

On Monday, I went to the Entrance.
There were a lot of pelicans like thousands!

I saw the pelicans get fed and I got to feed them too.
It was really cool.

One of the pelicans had a fishing hook in its neck but the people who look after it got it out and put some pink spray on it to tell them if it's been checked.

There were two playgrounds and a lot of rides.
On one of the rides we saw there was only one person on it.
I didn't go on any rides but I went on the two playgrounds and in a fountain pool.

After touching the fish when I was feeding the pelicans, my hand stunk for three hours!

BAD START TO THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the 1st of January, I was in the bath and I was moving around when I bumped my head on the soap holder.
I cut my head open. I didn't go to the hospital because they would cut my hair half off. I didn't want half my hair cut off because I am going to be a flower girl for my Auntie Miranda's wedding and I didn't want to embarrass my Auntie.

this is me when it happened.

This is my third bad cut on my head.
Now the scab is getting smaller, so don't worry about me.

Babysitter

Hi everyone,
On Monday my auntie Miranda baby-sat me because my mum went to a Britney Spears concert.

That day me and Nathalie went to Cub Scouts.
Nana dropped us off and our friends mum picked us up.

For dinner we ate rice and chicken.

When it was time for bed we couldn't sleep.
Especially me!
I just couldn't sleep. :(
I finally went to sleep.

I thought my auntie Miranda was going to sleep at are house but she didn't.

In the morning I woke up at 6:00.

I had a lot of fun that night.

Western Australia Project

This term at school I had a project about Australia.
I got to choose somewhere I wanted in Australia. I
chose Western Australia.
With my project there was a speech also.
My speech was about Wave Rock.
I chose Wave Rock because the rock is shaped like
a huge wave - now that's cool.
Wave Rock is found in Western Australia.
My speech was supposed to go for 2 minutes but it
took 1 minute 57 seconds.

And this is my speech:

Wave Rock is an amazing rock that is shaped like a giant surf wave that is about to break! It is found in Western Australia, 3 kilometres from the town of Hyden. But you can also visit Wave Rock as a day trip from Perth. Scientists think Wave Rock might be 27 million years old. The rock is made of red & grey Granite strips. It has brown-black algae streaks running down it. The colour of Wave Rock changes at different times during the day as the light changes. In springtime there are beautiful wildflowers around the rock too, so it's a lovely place to visit! The wave is 15 metres high and 100 metres long. The Wave Rock Weekender is a festival held at Wave Rock every year in September. This year's festival actually just finished on Monday. It's a music and camping festival. People can celebrate nature and music. In the same area as Wave Rock there are hundreds of other interesting rock formations. Some of the famous ones are called Hippos Yawn, The Humps, Camel Peaks and King Rocks. Another nearby place called Bats Cave has wonderful Aboriginal rock art. Since there are a lot of interesting attractions in this area that people like to visit, they built a coffee shop, a wildlife park, a copy Pioneer Town and a Wildflower Shop. If you ever get the chance to go to Western Australia, try to go and visit Wave Rock because it's a really amazing place.

A Month Of Parties

Its September, the Month with all the parties - well for me it is.
All of my friends birthdays are in September, even mine.
I think that is really fun. Wouldn't you? Again I think it is.
I went to a party today. It was really fun. The party girls name was Bronwyn.

A few days ago, I went to the party in the picture. The party was Maya's, my old friend. Its different to the party that I was talking about before.

This is me eating a little snack that I made at Maya's party, that I went to last week.

Tomorrow it will be my party. I'm really excited about it. I am now 8 years old.
I'm going to have a tropical party. There are thirteen people coming to my party.
We are going to have lots of treats at the party and lots of stuff in the party bags.

My 9th Birthday

On the 13th of July it was my birthday and I was turning 9. I spent my birthday travelling from Spokane to Seattle.

In Spokane I had a party with my grandma and grandpa. I chose my own cake and I chose my own ice cream. The ice cream was cookies and cream ice cream. At night I went back to Seattle and we went to the Rainforest Cafe. For dinner I had some chips and salsa and for dessert I got ice cream with cookies in it and the others got chocolate mousse with jelly snakes in it. Mummy put one of Patrick's jelly snakes in my ice cream.
At the Rainforest Cafe the people there sang happy birthday to me. In the Rainforest Cafe it tells you about things that are going on in the rainforest and its like the rainforest and they put toy animals inside and they move and look like they are real.

Independence Day

On the 4th of July I went to Olympia with my cousins. Olympia is the capital of Washington.
We stayed on a boat.
During the day we went on a small boat and we also caught some fish in nets but we let them go again. The weather was windy and hot. For dinner we ate subway sandwiches and for snacks we ate chips and cup cakes.
At night we watched the fireworks for 4th of July I also caught a frog.

Airport

Today I'm at the airport. I am having fun. I'm going to America to see my cousins and my friends.

There's lots of people here at the airport. I'm using a free computer with internet from Optus. And I've only checked my email and my blog.

This is for my auntie Miranda because she cried last night because I said I was going to do some posts and I didn't and I felt sorry for her.

Damper Twist

~ A couple of weeks ago I made Australian camp fire bread called damper.
I made it into a damper twist!~

This is the recipe

1 cup of self raising flour. a pinch of salt. a blob of butter. 1 teaspoon of sugar. 3/4 cup of milk.

Then mix it all together.
Now put it on a stick
Wrap it up in foil.
then put it over the fire.
when you put it over the fire,
turn it round, round and round again but don't do it too fast.
when you think it`s good enough to eat you can check it
and if it looks well cooked enough to eat you can eat it.

Mine tasted really good with butter on it! But you can put other stuff on it too.

ALEXA'S SPECIAL DAY

Last weekend I had this joey scout fun day on. But Nathalie went too. Even though she is in cubs. But I didn't care. Anyway, when I saw the games I was really exited. When we were playing the games it was really fun. By the way you have to wear costumes about flight because flight is the theme and so I wore an astronaut costume which I hired.

There was also a competition and I entered it. It was a competition where you have to design a badge to do with Flight. If you win you get your badge made into a real scout badge. It will be a blanket badge. Anyway I designed a aeroplane badge.

You won't believe this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won!!! so everyone who went got my badge.

Pet Rock Competition

A few weeks ago or you will probably say a month ago, I had a competition at my school. It was called Pet Rock Day and you have to design your own pet rock.

To do that you have to get a rock. Then you have to get all these little decorations. Then you have to decorate the rock with the decorations. At the end you have this fantastic pet rock!!!!!!!!!!!

Well by the way, I entered the competition. I had to chose a theme out of these categories - Ugliest, Weirdest, Prettiest and Scariest but there was also a teacher's category. I chose Ugliest. The next day I found out that I won first place in the competition. I was so exited when I heard! For my prize I got a pencil case and some crayons. Here is a picture of my pet rock.

The Tuna Fish Avalanche

Hi this is Nata.
A couple of weeks ago I was at Harris Farm Markets and Patrick was eating an Easter Egg
and mummy told me to go and go put Patrick's Easter Egg wrapper in the bin. So I did it. When I was coming back I stopped for a second and all of sudden BANG! A HUGE crate of tuna cans fell all over the floor and down on me. The managers had to come and pick it up and they looked at me like I did it, but didn't do it! But at least I was okay. My Calvin Klein Underwear

When I was little, I got Calvin Klein underwear. I loved it so much. One day I was moving to Australia. When I did, I left my Calvin Klein underwear in America. I had to call my dad and ask him to bring it to me. When he brought it to Australia I wore it every day. One day I forgot to wear it so my sister wore it. It was too small for my sister. POP! My sister popped a hole in it. I was really sad when I heard, but then I got new underwear so I was happy again. But I still have my Calvin Klein underwear in a drawer.

Inside of his tank there are some plants and Plankton has made a bubble nest on top of the water because he wants to have babies.

Before Christmas I entered a coloring contest at the pet shop. I won a Siamese fighting fish. Every time it goes near something it turns that colour .Its main colours are Red, Blue, green and purple. It is very beautiful. His name is Plankton.

Nathalie's worst insect day!

On Tuesday I got stung by a bee. I could not stop crying at all. It was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sore.

That night I got stung by a mosquito about 10 times. In the morning I woke and my foot was so itchy and sore I could not put on my shoe.

Our Vacation

We just went for a vacation. On our trip we went to Queensland. Queensland is very hot and tropical and its in Australia.

We went to the big pineapple, the big pelican, the big shell, the big cow, the big pub, the nut factory, the ginger factory, the nougat factory and Australia Zoo, which is the crocodile hunter's zoo.

We even went swimming at my uncle and aunt's place!

This is a frog that I found in my uncle and aunt's place.

Bee Sting

At school today I got stung by a bee. When I got stung by the bee, I pulled its bottom out. The bee stung me as fast as a colorful fish swimming in the blue water. When I got stung I had to pull it out quickly. I thought it was a splinter and it looked like a splinter. Then my teacher told me it was a bee. I didn't cry when I got it. Ive never had a bee sting before. I'm glad I'm not allergic to bee stings.

At the party I did

Trapeze - I was nervous but I was brave and proud.
Diablo - I was quite scared.
Jumping Castle - it was fun.
Juggling - I think it was fun even if I kept on dropping the balls.

MY BAD BIRD DAY

This morning I was going outside for breakfast. I have some chickens and they were out of their cage, and suddenly my chicken flew up and knocked over my cereal and landed on my head and didn't get off. I went inside the house and got some more cereal. I ate it all up inside the house and went out side with my bowl again and asked my mom for more. Then she said no more. So then I played with the chickens and then another bird flew over me and pooped all over my bowl, my neck and my hand.
Today I have a rash from a virus and I think they thought I was a tree.

A Wedding

Last week I went to my Sunday school teacher's wedding. At first I saw beautiful ribbons on the seats. I had to sit in the Baby room with Patrick my baby brother. I took a photo with the Bride. APPOINTMENT AT THE DENTIST

On Wednesday Benjamin, Patrick and I went to the dentist. They brushed our teeth they also gave us some glasses to put on. Patrick went first. I came second. Benjamin came last.

Nathalie visited the dentist a couple of weeks ago.

DOG ATTACKING

On Sunday afternoon when I was at my Nana's house a dog came.
I have chickens and that dog attacked one of the chickens (Aunty Miranda's one) but it didn't die. However it is already Tuesday and it still can't move. I think the dog might have broken the chicken's leg and wing. After there was lots of white feathers left. I feel very sad for her.

I am doing a post about being on the student council at my school. What you do is first vote. My class voted and they chose me and a boy in my class called Rye. So we go to S.R.C. And it's kind of like a meeting. We are making a disco and its tomorrow! We are going to pay four dollars.

Alexa and I are Joey Scouts. Every Monday I go to the Scout hall and learn lots of things.

Last Monday we took photos of Australian animals. We took the photos by ourselves.

I had to write a prayer about why we love God and this is what I made up.

We love you God because you made us and you love us. You are our King and our Father and our Friend. We love you because you listen to our prayers. You give us food to eat, fresh air to breath, water to drink, family and friends to love us. We thank you for everything you gave us! Amen

Yesterday I went to the fire station. We looked at a fire engine. We looked at three types of fire engines and we looked at a truck just in case they need to rush. I got some puzzles from them.

Yesterday we celebrated mother's day and my grandfather's birthday. My uncle roasted pork for lunch and dinner. We also ate roasted vegetables which we made salad out of that.
